KELLY-ANNE LYONS

Kelly-Anne

American actress, television presenter and model

A LITTLE HISTORY…

Growing up on America’s east coast, mainly based in New Jersey, Kelly-Anne found a passion for performing arts. She excelled in ballet, singing, and acting as a teenager, taking part in local theatre productions.

While in New York City receiving her BA degree, Kelly-Anne enjoyed taking acting classes. An NYC based modelling agency also signed Lyons, which began her modelling career. Shortly before graduation, Lyons was scouted by a UK based modelling agency who encouraged her to move to London, which she did one week after receiving her university degree, magna cum laude. Among the brand campaigns she has modelled for are Special K, The Body Shop, Fila, Fitness First, Microsoft, John Lewis, Wolford and Ted Baker.

However, acting has always been Lyons focal point and her credits on stage include Footloose, Father of the Bride, and Much Ado About Nothing.

A BIT MORE CURRENT…

Kelly-Anne first burst onto the UK comedy scene playing the title role in the online sitcom Chelsey OMG!, produced by comedy veterans Channel X. The series accrued more than an expected cult following, with over three million viewers.

Kelly-Anne’s breakthrough role was as Kelly-Anne Manhattan, the lead female role in BBC’s Dick and Dom’s Funny Business, in which she played the funny sidekick to children’s favourites Dick and Dom.

Lyons became known for her various outrageous characters in hidden camera shows such as MTV’s Flash Prank, Channel 5’s Secret Interview, ITV1’s Fool Brittania, BBC1’s Richard Hammond’s Secret Service, and National Geographic’s Ape Man.  Lyons also played Tess in the BBC3 sitcom, Badults.

Lyons played Felicity Bond in the twice BAFTA nominated BBC comedy, DNN.

Lyons supports Versus Arthritis Charity (previously Arthritis Care) and The Stroke Association. Kelly-Anne has been in remission from Juvenile Arthritis for 15 years, and her Dad is a stroke survivor.

Lyons was proud to become a British Citizen on St Georges Day 2012, making her a dual citizen of England and the USA.
